POLAR BONDING: WHAT IT IS AND HOW IT WORKS

CorrosionX products are comprised of more than a dozen components, each designed for a specific purpose. But what makes CorrosionX truly special is Polar Bonding. Polar Bonding is the result of the electromagnetic attraction between CorrosionX molecules and metal molecules (CorrosionX is attracted to all metals except noble metals like gold and platinum). Because CorrosionX is attracted to metal in a similar manner to the way two magnets are drawn together, CorrosionX has several unique and powerful characteristics.

FLUID THIN FILM COATING DEFINED

Corrosion Technologies coined the term "Fluid Thin Film Coating" (or "FTFC") to describe the phenomenon of what occurs when our anti-corrosion products comes into contact with metal and to distinguish them from the typical oil and solvent-based and wax and solvent-based barrier coatings used in other corrosion inhibitors. Because CorrosionX molecules are engineered to bond to metal, CorrosionX will fan out, creep and spread as every molecule of CorrosionX seeks out clean, unoxidized metal to bond with. As each molecule of CorrosionX "mates" to a molecule of metal, the CorrosionX becomes packed in so densely it forms, in effect, a solid (meaning no holes or gaps) sheet of film. The Fluid Thin Film Coating will continue to creep and spread seeking metal until it reaches a minimum thickness of .0003".

CorrosionX contains no wax, tar, silicone or solids and leaves no sticky, gummy mess behind. CorrosionX contains less than 8% VOCs, which is eight to ten times less than many of our competitors

CONTROLLING THE CORROSION PROCESS

A corrosion cell is similar to a tiny battery. There is an anode, cathode, electrolyte and a path of current. Eliminate any one of these elements and you can shut down the process. FTFC doesn't stop with just one, it removes two; it displaces electrolyte and leaves an ultra-thin dielectric film that blocks the path of current. And, because of its thin film thickness, it won't interfere with circuitry.
